Sunday 16 March 2008 7pm - Author Martin Waddell in conversation with psychoanalyst Jenny Stoker at The Anna Freud CentreUsing examples from his books Owl Babies and Can't You Sleep Little Bear? Martin Waddell talked to Jenny Stoker about the art of writing for children, the inspiration for his books and the role stories play in helping children to deal with their own fears and emotions.
Martin Waddell is the author of many engaging children's favourites. Starry Night won the 1986 Other Award, was a runner up for The Guardian Children's Fiction Award and shortlisted for the Young Observer Teenage Fiction Prize. He has twice won the Smarties Book Prize, for Farmer Duck and Can't You Sleep Little Bear?
Jenny Stoker, author of You and Your Toddler, is a psychoanalyst who works with adults and children. She is also a member of staff of the Anna Freud Centre and ran a parent toddler group there for many years.

Tuesday 5 February 2008 7.30 - South Hampstead High School Development Plans Public Meeting at the Anna Freud Centre, 21 Maresfield Gardens.The NNA hosted a public meeting about South Hampstead High School's proposals for major redevelopment. The school plans to expand their senior school site at the foot of Maresfield Gardens, removing some existing buildings and replacing them with a brand new school complex.
The proposed redevelopment would affect residents and visitors to the locality in numerous ways and would have a significant impact on the neighbourhood in the longer term. This meeting will gave members the opportunity to make their views known via the NNA.

Wednesday 14 November 2007, 8pm - An evening celebrating the work of Anna FreudTo commemorate the 25 years since the passing of Anna Freud (who lived in Maresfield Gardens from 1938), Inge Pretorius of the Anna Freud Centre invited NNA members and friends to a special presentation about The Hampstead War Nurseries and the origins of the Anna Freud Centre along with a short DVD about the life of Anna Freud..
Saturday 24 / Sunday 25 November 2007 - Danish YWCA Christmas BazaarThe Danish YWCA's traditional Christmas Bazaar was held on November 24 from 12 - 5pm and November 25 from 12 - 4pm at 43 Maresfield Gardens.
Thursday 08 November 2007, 7pm - 8pm - South Hampstead High SchoolThe South Hampstead High School for Girls (at the bottom end of Maresfield Gardens) had an open evening on Thursday 08 Novemberfrom 7 to 8 pm to propose plans for a complete rebuilding of the site with a presentation by the architect at 7.30 pm.

The Frognal and Fitzjohns Safer Neighbourhood Team held a public meeting on Tuesday 15 May at 7 pm at University College School in Frognal.
Safer Neighbourhoods is a ward based policing style that will be able to tackle quality-of-life and anti-social behaviour issues. A dedicated team of Officers is based on the ward as additional Police reassurance to those who life, work, study or socialise in the area. Tuesday 18th July 2006 - Safer Neighbourhood Scheme Launch
Barinder Sahni, interim joint secretary of the NNA's Neighbourhood Watch invited members to a public launch of the Metropolitan Police's new Safer Neighbourhood Scheme. The event was open to all and took place at on Tuesday 18th July at 7pm at the University College School Lecture Theatre on Frognal.
Saturday 10th June 2006 - Netherhall Recital Series presented a recital for String Quartet By Bergonzi Quartet.

Linda & Stephen Williams were invited to open their garden for National Garden Scheme (NGS). Entry of £2.50 went to the cancer charities supported by the NGS. Light refreshments were served. Last year, the front garden won a Heath and Hampstead Society 'Seen from the Street' Award.

One of Europe's most exciting chamber ensembles played music by Bartok, Webern, Elgar and Tchaikovsky.

To help celebrate what would have been Freud's 150th birthday and the exhibition The re-staging of Freud's sculptures, the Freud Museum hosted a reception with wine (chosen by Malcolm Gluck and courtesy of Sainsbury's) to help raise funds for the NNA.
